WHO ARE RG BESPOKE?

Our Story & Philosophy

RG Bespoke, previously known as RG Carpentry & Construction, was founded to deliver high-end bespoke carpentry and interiors built on craftsmanship, precision and considered design. Based in Essex, we specialise in made-to-measure furniture and joinery, working closely with homeowners, designers and trade professionals to create beautifully finished spaces tailored to each client.

For more than seven years, we have been designing and manufacturing everything in-house, giving us complete control over quality, materials and detail. From fitted wardrobes and media units to feature panelling and full interior projects, every piece is crafted using furniture-grade materials and modern CNC processes, then carefully finished for a refined, long-lasting result.

As demand for our work continued to grow, so did our vision. This led to the creation of RG Home, allowing customers across the UK to access our craftsmanship through made-to-order collections such as kitchen doors, wall panelling and furniture components. Designed for confident DIY installation or fitting by trades, RG Home delivers the same RG Bespoke standards in a more accessible format.

Our philosophy is simple. Do things properly. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just well-made, timeless pieces, crafted to elevate everyday living.

OUR WORKSHOP

The Only Way is Bespoke Carpentry

Based in Chelmsford, Essex, we design and manufacture bespoke joinery in our own workshop, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques, before installing it in homes across Essex.

Our workshop is equipped with industry-leading machinery, including a Fabertec M2 2030 3-Axis CNC Machine and a Fabertec E2 Edge Bander, allowing us to achieve outstanding levels of precision and finish.

We also operate advanced dust extraction systems to maintain a clean, safe, and controlled working environment, essential for producing consistently high-quality results.

Every piece is manufactured in-house using carefully selected, furniture-grade materials. We work with high-density fibreboard (HDF), premium MFC, and high-quality veneered boards sourced from leading suppliers such as Egger and Finsa.

These materials are chosen for their strength, stability, and superior finish, ensuring our products not only look exceptional but perform beautifully over time.

Our dedicated, dust-free, ventilated spray booths are designed to deliver flawless finishes. We use professional-grade Renner PU (polyurethane) paints, applied through a meticulous preparation and spraying process.

When combined with our premium materials and expert application, this system produces an exceptionally smooth, durable, and long-lasting finish.

We are fully insured with up to £2 million in Public Liability Insurance, giving you complete peace of mind throughout your project.

DIRECTOR OF RG BESPOKE

Meet The Owner, Ryan Gooch

Hi, I’m Ryan, the face behind RG Bespoke. My passion for woodworking began early, leading me to earn a distinction in Site Carpentry & Joinery before working on one-off house builds, heritage properties, and Grade II listed mansions, experiences that gave me a rare insight into traditional craftsmanship.

Over the years, I expanded my skills through diverse projects, from domestic renovations and bespoke cabinetry to commercial work in schools, offices, and even McDonald’s shopfitting. Later, I honed my efficiency and versatility working with national house builders like Countryside and Bellway.

After nearly eight years building the RG brand, I took the leap to focus fully on my business. I understand the trust and investment that go into transforming a home, and I take pride in delivering results that exceed expectations. My work has also been recognised within the industry, including being featured in RCI Magazine.
