Project Brief

As part of a wider renovation project for a returning customer, which had already included a full kitchen and bathroom renovation, we were now back downstairs working within the newly created open-plan kitchen and living space.

For this stage, we were tasked with designing and building a bespoke media wall that would tie in with the style established throughout the rest of the property. After a simple brief from the client, the design needed to incorporate an electric fire and provide enough space to house an 80” TV.

Project Execution

Project Run-Through:

Following our initial discussions, we sketched out design ideas and sourced a three-sided electric fire that would complement the proportions of the 80″ TV housing while matching the custom kitchen mantel we had previously installed.

We proposed a cohesive design that included matching colourways and the use of Art Deco beading—mirroring the hallway panelling to create a continuous style throughout the home. To enhance both function and aesthetics, we integrated an oak display shelf beside the fire, ideal for photo frames or candles.

Acting as the main contractor for the full house renovation, we split the installation into two key phases. The first fix involved constructing the framework, running wiring, and plasterboarding. The second fix brought the vision to life with the application of the Art Deco picture framing, coving, and a professional spray finish to complete the look.

This coordinated approach ensured a seamless installation and a refined, unified interior design.

Bringing the Vision to Life

As part of an extremely thorough high spec renovation, it was crucial this media wall was styled in keeping with the rest of the property, it was also critical it was in proportion, being in a very large open plan space it had to be perfectly designed.

The thought and detail put into the design and planning made the finished project look amazing, and it is sure to be the perfect place to host Movie nights.

Being able to include extra features like the 3-sided fire and oak display shelf far exceeded our clients initial expectations which is always a pleasure to hear.
