Project Brief
Our client came to us looking to replace their existing softwood decking which had become dangerous due to rot , this was making the garden unusable and with summer fast approaching they wanted the garden transformed to enjoy.
Our clients vision involved a two tiered decking area totally 65sqm to host bbqs and social events.

Project Execution
Project Run-Through:
The project began with detailed pre-planning, including a scaled drawing for client approval that formed the basis for our quote and material orders. We developed a works schedule to coordinate trades in the correct sequence, with extra care taken due to tight access on a private road.
The client had a clear vision for the layout but needed support with finer design details. We provided on-site advice using materials to help visualise options for board patterns, corner joins, and lighting placements. Once approved, we began installation by levelling the garden, which was 450mm out of level, using laser guides to ensure precision for both the decking and artificial grass.
After setting out, we constructed a large three-part decking framework and two-tread steps, secured and levelled before wiring and testing the deck lighting. Finally, we laid the boards with secret fixings and 8mm spacers to allow for expansion, ensuring a clean, professional finish.

The finished result was outstanding and far exceeded the client’s expectations. Our precise setting out ensured full boards throughout, including seamless transitions across the steps, between the two tiers, and into the sunken area—highlighting the quality of the installation and creating the perfect space for summer evening entertaining.
The client was especially impressed by how we managed to completely level the entire garden without compromise, having initially assumed this wouldn’t be possible. As the sun sets, the integrated decking lighting enhances the space beautifully, adding a sharp and striking feature to the overall design.
