Fencing & Turf Laying
September 2023

Project Brief
Our client had recently completed a full renovation, transforming their bungalow into a six-bedroom home.
With the house complete, attention turned to the garden. Years of neglect had left it badly overgrown, and the sheer scale of the task felt overwhelming. Unsure how such a transformation could be achieved, the client’s vision was clear: a beautifully immaculate garden, with perfectly laid turf and secure new fencing around the perimeter.
We recommended retaining some of the garden’s original character to create a focal point, and the large, mature apple tree at its centre proved to be the perfect feature.

Project Execution
Project Run-Through:
With such a large overgrown garden it was crucial to devise an efficient plan, we decided it would be best to get a digger in to help clear the garden and give us a blank canvas to build upon.
In constant communication with the client we suggested ideas such as a raised flower bed to the bottom of the garden which would preserve some nature as well as the young oak trees which were growing.
Once we had the garden completely cleared we spent several days preparing for the turf, we done this using Leica rotary lasers and alot of top soil. It was crucial that we spent time perfecting this if we were to get the perfect flat turf, which our client desired.

Bringing the Vision to Life
The final garden transformation is truly mind-blowing, considering this was the same garden just a mere month ago.
The newly trimmed apple tree was flourishing and created a great feature, complementing the raised sleeper flower bed at the bottom of the garden.
The perfectly flat green turf paired with the fresh new fence line created the perfect natural, fresh look this property deserved. It was great to watch this project develop over several weeks and see that all the strenuous prep work was worth the effort. Our client was amazed at how the garden had been completely changed when they believed it was beyond rescue.
