The client desired the new roof pitch and aesthetics to closely replicate the existing main roof.
This requirement necessitated meticulous planning and careful consideration of materials to ensure a seamless integration with the original structure.

Project Execution
Project Run-Through:
This roofing project presented unique challenges, particularly the inability to use a crane for lifting, which required all components to be manually positioned. With careful pre-planning and strict safety measures, we tackled the complex task of installing a hand-cut vaulted ceiling roof featuring a glulam beam.
This beam, essential to the structure, had to be suspended with millimetre precision—highlighting our team’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. We maintained the pitch to match the main roof for a seamless finish and took extra care in sourcing reclaimed tiles, blending them with existing ones to ensure continuity in appearance.
To enhance the design, we installed wide soffit and fascia boards, adding structural weight and visual impact, along with a striking gable ladder as a flagship feature.
Despite the obstacles, the project ran smoothly, resulting in a roof that exceeded expectations. Our roofing expertise across Chelmsford and Essex ensures tailored solutions for even the most complex installations.

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the outcome of this project. It was an especially challenging endeavour, involving the manual lifting of a 250kg feature beam onto the ridge of the roof. Despite the complexity, the process went more smoothly than I could have anticipated.
The new roof not only integrates seamlessly with the existing structure but also serves as the ceiling for the new master bedroom. The precision and care taken during the installation have resulted in a flawless finish that enhances the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.
