June 2023

Project Brief

Having recently completed a 2-story timber frame extension as well as a full internal renovation, it was time for our clients to move into the final phase of the property renovation and fit out all of the bedrooms with our wardrobes.

For bedroom 2, we were asked to provide some ideas to give the guest room a more feature look. Having discussed the desire to provide something striking for the guest room we went away to prepare several options for our most luxurious door styles to be approved, we also showcased several different finishes including some more common colours and some slightly bolder options.

Project Execution

Project Run-Through:

Having met up for the final design consultation, we provided the final SketchUp CAD drawing and discussed the pros and cons of each proposed style.

We decided to create a striking combo involving an oak MFC panel for the wardrobe internals, with Indigo supermatt externals, the striking feature would be achieved by using our Cairo Cross Fretwork doors. These particular doors are one of our personal favourites as they look phenomenal no matter how many times you see them.

Armed with a well designed and thoroughly planned CAD drawing, we prepared most of the wardrobe build in the workshop before transporting to site for install. Once the central carcass units were fitted and levelled, we completed the internal components, which included a hanging rail, shelving, and a triple drawer unit with matching drawer fronts. Finally, we fitted the cornice and end panels before hanging the incredible feature doors.

Project Completion

Bringing the Vision to Life

Having looked forward to this particular install from the day the final design was approved, it was great to see it all come together finally.

Our clients were yet again pleasantly surprised at just how much storage a bespoke wardrobe provides, due to being a slightly smaller bedroom, we needed a good design that allowed other freestanding units to be removed.

The striking internals of the oak panels, combined with the indigo blue drawer fronts, were great, and the mirrored fretwork doors really completed the look.
