Project Brief

In addition to fitting IPE decking, our client also tasked us with bringing his perfect BBQ space to life, having already discussed the overall requirements for the garden, including the decking.

We began sourcing CAD designs for the Oak pergola. Our aim for this project was to provide the highest spec garden possible within the clients chosen budget, we spent time souring from different suppliers for the best value frame.

The project brief was to create a space that resembled a gastro pub garden.

Project Execution

Project Run-Through:

Once we had sourced the perfect oak frame for the project, we began setting out on site, using 900×600 porcelain slabs and having a 4.5m pergola.

It was essential that our setting out was perfect as the pergola would need to be perfectly square and parallel to the pergola, otherwise it would highlight any mistakes badly.

Using laser lines and strings, we marked out everything and ensured it was square before fitting the patio. We left the slabs in place where the posts would go, and then installed the oak frame before completing the patio, which was cut around the oak posts.

Project Completion

Bringing the Vision to Life

Once we had completed the full project, we prepared to hand it over to our client, performing final checks and clearing the site. We had a thorough walk-through together to identify any snags, and our client was delighted with the final project.

Having had such a strong vision in his own mind, but struggling to explain it or bring it together, he was shocked at how well we had understood his vague descriptions of how everything had to look.

The oak frame pergola perfectly finished off the garden renovation and really gave the luxurious al-fresco experience he was hoping for.
