Project Brief
Returning once again to this customer’s property, we were now back working inside to complete the next stage of their wider renovation. The new flooring would run throughout the downstairs, passing through the hallway where we installed wall panelling back in 2022 and completed a full staircase renovation earlier this year, before continuing through to the kitchen which we also fully refitted at the start of the year. This was the perfect finishing touch to bring the entire downstairs of the property together.
The clients were keen to create a statement flooring feature throughout the space and, being huge fans of the oak parquet and herringbone trend, wanted to recreate a look they had seen and loved online.

Project Execution
Project Run-Through:
This large-scale installation required detailed pre-planning to ensure the entire 130 sqm ground floor was efficiently self-levelling without disrupting access for extended periods.
We coordinated labour availability and phased the latex application, using a small doorway to create a neat join later sanded and feathered.
Client liaison was key; our client envisioned a parquet effect but needed guidance on shade and finish. We sourced a wide range of samples across brands and budgets, ultimately landing on Karndean’s Honey Oak parquet planks.
With the stairwell at the centre of the property, the flooring was installed in a U-shape pattern that had to meet perfectly on the opposite side. Precision setting-out using laser lines, string lines, and dry fitting ensured each room’s direction remained square and consistent throughout.
Project Completion
Bringing the Vision to Life
This property was a very high spec bespoke project and the flooring was such a major factor in the wow factor of the huge downstairs open plan areas.
Flowing perfectly from room to room it really made the space feel even larger than it was and gave the perfect finish to compliment the rest of the bespoke features around the property.
With so much light coming into the property from the large bifolds and french doors any slight discrepancy would be highlighted drastically, the work we had put in preparing the floor had paid off as the sun beamed in through the bifolds and the flooring looked dead flat throughout.
Client Testimonial
“Once again, Ryan’s done an amazing job. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are fantastic. We’d highly recommend Ryan to anyone considering home renovations – there really doesn’t seem to be anything he can’t do!”
