Project Brief
Our client came to us looking for a pair of bespoke alcove units to match the Victorian-style wall panelling in her new home.
The idea for the cabinetry was to provide a mixture of storage, one unit to incorporate an open front for log storage, as well as a section for storing games away neatly. The second unit was to be an angled unit to fit their TV on, as well as an alcove for their soundbar.
Our client loved the shaker-style doors, and we suggested adding beading to the doors to provide continuity from the panelling to the new units.

Project Execution
Project Run-Through:
To begin the design process with our client we started by creating a Sketch up model to show how the space would work, this was also crucial for the manufacturing stage due to the space being very tight, to fit the angled unit into the alcove as well as allowing enough room for the TV to sit at the right angle for viewing and to also fit in the soundbar the unit had to be designed perfectly as there was barely any room to play with.
Once we had a scaled sketch-up model drawn, and we had mocked up the soundbar and TV space, we presented this to our client for approval.
We begun manufacturing the units and doors off site in the workshop before returning to install which required alot of planning of getting the angled unit into the space, due to the wall panelling already being installed this prevented us from dropping the top panel in from the top as we would ordinarily once everything was installed we begun prep for the on-site spray finishing.
Project Completion
Bringing the Vision to Life
With the units now fully installed and the spray finishing complete, it was time to handover to our client who was over the moon with the finished product, commenting on how the units complimented the existing wall panelling so well and how amazed she was that the overall finish was even better than expected which is always a great complement to receive.
